The Middle School residential program is an intimate boarding community that caters to students in grades 6-8 from the state of Hawai‘i, the U.S. Mainland, and around the world. The Village Campus houses 30 boarding students who are supported in their daily lives by eight residential faculty, all Middle School day faculty, and the K-8 counselor. Residents live in spacious twin rooms with attached bathrooms and participate in a variety of after-school activities within the Waimea community, including football, yoga, music and voice lessons, dance, baseball, swimming, and tennis. Students have specific, supported homework times to complete daily assignments. A tutor is available if extra assistance is needed. Weekends are an exciting time for our students as they work with the residential faculty to plan retreats, hiking, shopping, and beach excursions that take advantage of the many unique activity opportunities offered on the island of Hawai‘i.
