THE PROGRAM

Our diverse Summer Session offers enrichment and unique study opportunities for boarding and day students entering grades 6-12.  This exceptional program is designed to make the most of summer, and bring out all the colors of your child. 

Summer Session offers new and prospective HPA students an excellent introduction to the school’s program and instructors. Many students return every summer to take advantage of the outstanding program and staff and to meet students from around the world.

Upper School course offerings include:

• Ceramics
• Explore Hawai‘i Island
• iLife Medley
• Marine Science
• Robotics
• SAT Prep
• English as a Second Language

• Two residence halls house students in double and sometimes triple rooms.
• Each room has beds and built-in closets, shelves, desks, and access to the campus-wide computer network and the Internet.
• Each building has a central lounge and laundry facilities.
• Faculty members and residential assistants provide supervision.

COSTS
Application Fee: $35 (or apply online for $25).

Tuition:

• BOARDING STUDENTS: $4,300. Tuition covers instruction, room, board, books, most group activities, and excursions. Airfare and ground transportation, optional sports, and personal expenses are extra.
• DAY STUDENTS: Individual day classes available for $550 per class.  Classes begin June 29 and run through July 23.

• Horseback riding instruction
