Standing Room Only at Seventeenth Annual Ukulele Festival

About 150 students from Hawaii Preparatory Academy and Kealakehe Intermediate School performed in the Seventeenth Annual 'Ukulele Festival at Hawaii Preparatory Academy on Saturday, March 6.  The festival was performed at Gates Performing Arts Center, located on the school’s Upper Campus.  This delightful family event was free and open to the public.

This year’s festival, themed “Lights! Camera! Action!" featured popular movie, video, and television theme music.  Highlights included Hawaii Five-0 (On the right), Eye of the Tiger, Foot Loose, Mama Mia, and Seasons of Love.

The students were directed by Gloria Juan-Tapa‘atoutai, Georgia Polakova, Dagan Bernstein, and Lynn Kakugawa.
