HPA Development Office
In its first 50 years, Hawaii Preparatory Academy has grown from a fledgling boarding and day school in the ranch lands of the Big Island to one of the finest independent college-preparatory schools in the State of Hawaii. To no small degree, that growth and success are due to the generous philanthropic support of the school's loyal donors.
To continue the tradition of academic and athletic excellence that HPA represents today, the Development Office constantly seeks new avenues of financial support for the school. The office acts as a clearinghouse and authority for all fund-raising activities, including the annual fund drive and special campaigns to fund capital projects and build the Academy's endowment. A biennial scholarship auction raises money for financial aid to students, as do other special events. Information on gifts by wills and bequests and consultation on planned or deferred gifts are available through the office.
The office also serves as the repository and handles sales of gifts of art to the school.
